Individual Membership in LETSI

If you are interested in promoting e-learning globally and in assuring that software standards remain open, consider adding your voice to LETSI as an individual member. The LETSI Operating Procedures Pro Tem give individual members the right to vote on issues in LETSI Working Groups and to participate in future LETSI elections. Please feel free to download and review this document, which also defines LETSI's charter and scope and the IP principles we think characterize open software standards.

The document also lists a dozen procedures that are not yet defined. LETSI is still in formation and you are invited to participate in the Policies and Procedures Working Group.

LETSI has established the following policy regarding participation, voting, and fees:

• LETSI's online discussions, working groups, and meetings are open to the public.
• Individuals must be LETSI members to vote in the working groups.
  • Individual membership is open to everyone committed to open standards for learning systems and costs $100 per year.
  • Individuals can also participate in LETSI elections, which will be organized before the World Congress in March.
• Half of the LETSI Sponsoring Organizations must approve any final LETSI work product, including SCORM. Sponsorship costs $10,000 per year.

Wiki Participation

This wiki is viewable by the public and with a (free) account you can add your voice to LETSI by commenting on the proceedings. It is not necessary to become a member to participate in a working group or attend a LETSI meeting. Register here for a free account.
