GENERAL LETSI NEWS

The LETSI SEC approved the call for white papers to go out and agreed on the plan for the SCORM World Congress in October. The official kick-off for requesting white papers will be concurrent with the ADL TWG meeting in May.

IEEE LTSC. The LTSC is circulating a draft to standardize web services for the API. The RAMLET group is now at the point where they have deliverables ready, and some development work is being done in Europe.

IMS. IMS has sent a letter to ISTO, objecting to ADL's use of the 4-box model. This letter may be put on the LETST TWG website.

LETSI Infrastructure. The WIKI, email, etc will be moved to the ISTO infrastructure. There will be a meeting May 14 to discuss this.

Administrivia. The next meeting will be one hour later (9am Eastern)

SCORM 2.0 WHITE PAPER SOLICITATION

ADL TWG. ADL has solidified the agenda for its TWG meeting May 27-28. On Wednesday afternoon, ADL will discuss SCORM 2004 issues. On Thursday, there will be presentations about LETSI to the ADL TWG to help gather requirements from the DoD regarding the DoD's perspective.

On Wednesday morning, there will be a meeting of this group to finalize any issues related to the White Paper soliciatation.

SCORM 2.0 White Papers. The group went over the comments on the White Paper solicitation, and decided that it's good enough that the final editors need to make the final decisions on the white paper solicitation instead of going over the comments as a group. Any other comments on the solicitation should be sent to the email reflector or Tyde within the next week. The group decided that all white paper submissions be publicly viewable.

Publicity. Shane requested any additional requirements to the upcoming website be sent to him as soon as possible.
